2019 BMC Teamelite 01 TWO Mountain Bike
The BMC Teamelite 01 is the preferred weapon of the BMC’s professional World Cup mountain bike racers. It’s fiendishly light, super-responsive, and offers enough rear suspension that many prefer this hardtail as their go-to race rig regardless of how rough the cours is. As it is the tool of their professionals who fly the BMC flag every day, BMC engineers are constantly trying to find ways to improve the ride. As of this writing, they haven’t. As such, they are proud to offer the model with the same exact frame as last year’s—it’s hard to top their best. The updates are to the colors and components only. Here, too, they’ve worked with their suppliers and have kept the best and improved the rest.
BMC has long figured that softening up a hardtail makes it faster without adding the complexity and weight of pivoted full-suspension design. With their Teamelite01 frame, they bring Micro Travel Technology (MTT) to the table, to provide even more compliance and shock absorption to an incredibly efficient, superlight frame.
